Xanthe fell in love with clay during her high school ceramics class. A decade later, that passion has turned into McCoy Crafted. Xanthe continues to learn, teach, create, and loves being in the studio.
Austin does a lot of the behind the scenes work: managing the kiln, taking care of equipment, and supplying Xanthe with coffee.
When we’re not in the studio we’re probably hanging out with our dogs or exploring national parks
The Face of the Brand
You may have seen this floofer stamped on our pieces, or on the front of our t-shirt. The first year we got married, we got a goldendoodle puppy. Convinced she was going to be Austin’s shop dog, we named her Maple and made her the face of our brand (and let’s be honest, she’s a pretty cute logo). In December 2020 Maple had nine puppies, and the McCoy brothers each kept one of the sisters. While the pups enjoy being in the studio more than Maple does, they’re all a big part of our team here at McCoy Crafted.
